Architectural Designer

Floor It Guyana is looking for a passionate and creative team member who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to join and advance in our dynamic home improvement company.

The Architectural Designer will work as a collaborative team member developing interior designs for our clients from conceptualization to design development of their projects.  The overall scope of this position is to communicate clearly with team members, clients, and vendors and assure 100% accuracy and completeness in design intent, project execution, schedules and drawings. Working under the direction of the Projects Manager, you will be accountable for implementing design concepts in construction sets.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, with a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills and thorough with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • AutoCAD expertise required
  • Must be proficient with the following software: Sketch up, Chief Architect & Lumion
  • Skilled in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Advanced skillset regarding interior design, custom millwork, and furniture detailing
  • Thorough knowledge of architectural finishes, interior design products, and industry standards
  • Well verse in the latest design, lifestyle, finishing, art and technological trends and how they can be expressed in housing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to convey project information accurately to coworkers, clients, and vendors.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to multi-task with time management skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients


  • Meet, interact and collect information on cabinetry design, budget, etc. for project proposals from clients. Use expertise to evaluate client’s expectations and needs.
  • Collaborate on all phases of the design process including conceptual and schematic designs, design development and document preparation
  • Perform site visits to assess clients’ needs. Use “site visits” to: determine functional and spatial requirements, identify clients’ needs and put together design proposals and feasibility reports.
  • Produce ALL 3D architectural designs (for clients) and highly detailed shop drawings (for the factory) regarding proposed projects.
  • Obtain specs, pricing, and quotes for items if needed
  • Interact and assist walk-in clients at the showroom in order to convert them into paying customers
